Daedalus
The portfolio, inside the studio
The craftsman. He is interested in the thing you made, not the job you held while making it.
Your best work is usually the thing that was not really your job.
A resume claims and a portfolio shows. The gap between them is the most common reason a strong candidate loses to a weaker one who happened to have screenshots. Daedalus listens for the sentence people always say right before they describe their best work.
He speaks when You say something was not really part of your job. That phrase is almost always attached to the best thing you have made.

He heard this
I built the rota myself because it did not exist.
Sitting in the dig as an aside about a job you left.
A case study section: no research function, so I built the rota the whole team ran.
Your words. He only moved where they sat.
He asks whether you still have it, not whether you remember it.
- 01
A yes or no about a file
Not a portfolio brief. The word portfolio arrives late on purpose, because it makes people picture building a website and freeze.
- 02
Gone is a real answer
Most people cannot take anything with them. A redrawn version with the numbers changed is honest, and it is usually better than the original because you can make it legible.
- 03
Assembles the case study from the dig
Same five parts as your resume line, in a different order, because a reader who is already interested wants the problem first rather than the decision.
The only thing he cannot make is the picture. Everything else on the page is a sentence you already said out loud.
He is one of five in the same room.
